It seems I collect buttons.

It didn’t start out that way. I really just wanted a few buttons that were Little House-related, but my husband keeps finding jars or bags of buttons at flea markets and antique stores. He really seems to think I need to collect buttons. I think I have enough collections going (antique photos and antique advertising trade cards, on top of always searching for Laura Ingalls Wilder-related anything 🙂 ), but he’s insistent. And so, over the last few years I’ve accumulated a few buttons. Nothing really special… yet (the search continues).

I follow a button group on facebook and a member shared the website of, believe it or not, a button artist. Check out the creations of Miami artist Augusto Esquivel.

Awesome, don’t you agree? Brings a whole new meaning to “button string”!
