My daughter has recently become a foster mom and has begun the journey to one day adopt a child. Her first experience was temporarily fostering a thirteen month old baby girl. She had her for only eleven days, but Baby was so cute and lovable that it wasn’t hard to become immediately attached to her.
This past Sunday was Baby’s last day with my daughter so I wanted to stop over and say my good-byes. She’s a busy baby and doesn’t sit still for very long but loves to be read short little books. I realized that I may never see her again and wanted to leave some part of me, her grandmother for eleven days, with her.
So … what else could I do? I took a Little House board book over and read it to her. It’s a start, right?
