Silent Auction

Once again, we will host a silent auction at LauraPalooza 2019.  It will be the major  fundraiser for the LIWLRA to support our mission to preserve and promote the legacy of the works and homesites of Laura Ingalls Wilder. After LauraPalooza 2015, held in Brookings, SD, we were proud to use Silent Auction proceeds to donate $1,000 to the Laura Ingalls Wilder home and Museum in Mansfield, Missouri, and another $1000 to the Laura Ingalls Wilder Memorial Society in De Smet,  South Dakota to support artifact preservation projects. After LauraPalooza 2017, we made donations of $500 each to several other Laura Ingalls Wilder homesites, some for the first time.

If you would like to donate to the Silent Auction at LauraPalooza 2019, we suggest items directly related to the stories, or pioneer life.  Popular items include antiques or artifacts mentioned in the stories, early editions of Laura’s books, or related publications. Also welcome are collectibles from the homesites and new or gently used pioneer clothing. Handmade crafts and artwork inspired by the books have caused excitement in bidding.

Please bring your donations to the Sunday evening, July 7, opening reception, where they will be tagged for the auction. Winners will need to be present to collect their treasures, Tuesday evening, July 9.

Cash, check, credit or debit cards will be accepted as payment this year.
