We’ve posted about this before, but since we just got asked a question about it, I wanted to share again.
The Legacy of Laura Ingalls Wilder, the Wilder documentary by Dean Butler, is available on DVD can be purchased for $24.95 plus S&H from the LIW museums in Malone, Walnut Grove and the Ingalls Homestead in De Smet. The availability is the same for Butler’s previous documentary Life Before Laura which is a companion piece to Farmer Boy focusing on Almanzo’s life as a young boy.
Both are NOT available on Amazon. Currently they’re easiest to get through one of the homesites that is carrying them.
However, the Pa’s Fiddle: The Music of America DVD and CD, that were collaborations between Dale Cockrell, Dean Butler, and PBS, are now available through both Barnes and Noble and Amazon.

What about the documentary about Almanzo?
Look closely it’s mentioned above, Life before Laura…..
It wasn’t originally, since it’s been out for years I assumed everyone knew. I revised it after I saw the question.
I ordered the Laura dvd through Dean’s website and received it less than a week later. Paid through Paypal. Couldn’t have been easier.
